What to include in a cosmetic packaging sample request
A sample is useful when it answers a specific question about the finished pack.
Identify the exact model, intended contents, capacity, dispenser or closure, finish and quantity. Say what you need to check on the sample. WDPACK can then distinguish an available bottle sample from one requiring special printing or decoration.
Name the model and the application
Start with the SKU from the WDPACK catalogue or a clear reference image. Add the intended formula, target capacity and application. If you need a pump, spray head, dropper or cap, describe the assembled combination instead of asking for the bottle body alone.
A product image may show one finish or component set; it should not be treated as proof that every color or accessory is available. Ask which exact parts will be supplied with the sample.
Define the decision the sample must support
A plain model sample can help check grip, shape and component fit. A decorated sample is needed to assess logo placement, color, print or surface appearance. A filled sample may be necessary for your own compatibility, leak and dispensing evaluation. Write these checks into the brief so the right sample is prepared.
For decoration, attach usable artwork and state the desired process where known. If you only have a visual reference, say that the process still needs discussion.
Agree what happens after review
WDPACK states that in-stock samples can be sent when available. Special decoration or printing samples generally take around 7 to 15 days and may carry a reasonable charge. Confirm the current timing and cost for the actual model and artwork.
Record the approved sample, any changes and the agreed acceptance criteria before bulk production. The sample should be a shared reference for dimensions, color, appearance and function where relevant.
